Edward Chu
Senior Managing Director

Mr. Chu is the Senior Managing Director of Hunter Chase Capital Partners (HCCP) and primarily focuses on the Company’s equity investment activities. Mr. Chu has been heavily involved with the development of market rate high yield opportunity funds and equity placement of such investment funds. At HCCP, he is primarily responsible for acquisition oversight and for raising funds from institutional investors. Prior to joining HCCP, Mr. Chu created and managed the Private Equity Group within KeyBank Real Estate Capital from 1991 to 2004. He has been directly involved in raising equity from domestic and international corporate clients for investment in projects throughout the United States. Under his oversight approximately $2.2 billion in equity has been raised and invested. Prior to joining Key, Mr. Chu was a First Vice President with McDonald & Co.’s Public Finance Group, with responsibilities for originating, analyzing, structuring and leading project financing and refinancing for public and non public entities. Mr. Chu also was a vice president with Thomson McKinnon’s Capital Markets Group and a commercial banking officer with Texas Commerce Bank. Mr. Chu has a Bachelor of Science degree in management and an MBA from the University of Houston.



Laird A. Fairchild
Senior Managing Director


Mr. Fairchild is a senior acquisition/underwriter in Hunter Chase’s Dallas office analyzing oil and gas investments and Fund underwriting. Prior to joining Hunter Chase in 2004, Mr. Fairchild originated over $500 million in US real estate investments as a Senior Vice President of an international investment firm. Prior to this association, Mr. Fairchild was a Senior Vice President and Managing Director for KeyBank National Association’s Real Estate Equity Group. In his five years in this capacity, Mr. Fairchild oversaw over $500 million in real estate mezzanine and equity investments. Prior to his position within the Real Estate Equity Group, Mr. Fairchild was a Vice President and National Accounts real estate lending officer for KeyBank’s Commercial Real Estate Division. In this role, Mr. Fairchild initiated a relationship with over a dozen prominent Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) and developed a national accounts portfolio in excess of $1 billion. Mr. Fairchild received his B.A. in finance at Miami Western University and holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management.


Julianne Leighty
Site Operations

Ms. Leighty's responsibilities include oversight and coordination of all office operations, the company's information technology and communications systems for the Texas site. She assists the Real Estate Originations, Asset Management and Accounting departments through a variety of responsibilities including providing support for the database system, web site building and maintenance, authoring database software instructional materials, and development of marketing materials. She is responsible for the development of disaster recovery plans, oversees security, special events and provides accounting for numerous entities associated with the Company's concerns.

Prior to joining Hunter Chase Capital Partners, Ms. Leighty was associated with an international firm which placed and managed real estate equity investments throughout the US.  Ms. Leighty was previously associated with SouthTrust Bank(later Wachovia Bank), a $59 billion dollar bank headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama where she provided training and support in Branch Administration for seventeen Dallas Metroplex banks. She provides management of personal real estate and oil and gas holdings, has had interests in numerous single-family, real estate developments, and was the owner of retail businesses. Ms. Leighty holds a B.F.A. from the University of Texas at Arlington where she graduated with high honors.
